Our goal was to monitor the unpleasant odor in different locations 24/7, and giving the property managers the fastest cognition of the situation. The public toilet unpleasant odour was always a long term concerned problem. To reduce carbon footprint, smart fan control was implemented to provide ondemand fan speed control.
Challenges
Odour Management: Unpleasant smells in public toilets negatively impact user satisfaction and hygiene perception.
Manual Ventilation: Traditional fan systems lack responsiveness to real-time environmental changes.
Maintenance Oversight: Without automated systems, odour issues may go unnoticed until complaints arise.
Solutions
Real-Time Monitoring: Air Quality Sensors detect odour-related gases and environmental conditions.
Automated Response: Smart Fan Controller activates ventilation based on sensor data, ensuring timely air circulation.
Integrated Platform: Data is transmitted via LoRaWAN or GWIN to a centralized management system for monitoring and analytics.
Results
Improved Hygiene Experience: Users benefit from cleaner, fresher air, especially in high-traffic or remote toilets.
Operational Efficiency: Reduced need for manual checks and faster response to odour issues.
Scalable Infrastructure: The system can be expanded to other public toilets with minimal setup due to wireless connectivity.
